Liz McGregor | Producer, Director, Writer
If asked how they would describe Liz, nine out of ten people would likely respond with wanderlust or whirling dervish. She enjoys transcontinental journeys, mastering new accents, and any adventure that requires at least one water crossing. Intuition and instinct are the foundation of what leads Liz to the stories she shares and the people who tell them.

Liz founded BoonDocs in 1998 with Cinematographer Amy Silverman. Before this, Liz worked on independent films such as Big Night and Drunks, directed NYC's first and only environmental film festival, initiated and co-organized the South American debut of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour in Chile, and also produced commercials and public service announcements. Most of Liz's program ideas stem from a desire to support efforts to protect and encourage the thoughtful development of the world's unique and unspoiled regions. Her enduring interest in Chile began as a semester in Patagonia with the National Outdoor Leadership School in 1991.

Amy Silverman | Producer, Cinematographer
Equally at home on the streets of Manhattan's Lower East Side or the winding switchbacks of Chile's southernmost roadway, Amy enjoys brushing up on her spanish by watching Mexican telenovelas, is addicted to National Public Radio and has a highly developed eye for composition and form. Her passion for people and cultures all over the world has evolved into a very unique style of connecting from behind the lens.

She has shot documentaries from China to Chile, New Orleans to New York including segments of 900 Women which aired on A&E, segments of Gay Riviera, a series for the Bravo Channel and Return to Guilin. She has also worked as a camera assistant on many feature films, documentaries, and TV shows such as Sex and the City, Happy Accidents and The Songcatcher.
